We exist to give voice, dignity and real opportunity to the most vulnerable members of society — especially children, youths, widows and women.
Vision: To help ensure that less children miss education because of the circumstances of their birth and that women continue to have a voice in society through economic power, believing that an empowered household which in turn shall nurture an empowered society.
Mission: To help ensure that less children miss education because of the circumstances of their birth and that women continue to have a voice in society through economic power, believing that an empowered household which in turn shall nurture an empowered society.
We actively oppose cultural and traditional practices that disempower women and deprive children of inheritance rights and full participation in society.
Volunteers for Orphans, Youths and Widows Empowerment (VOYE) is women organisation committed to improving the lives of orphans, widows, single mothers and indigent youths in some parts of the East and the Niger Delta of Nigeria. VOYE was established in 2004. VOYE has been positively impacting the lives of members of varied communities. We work with the grass root in our target communities to fight poverty, helping them to gain the rights to food, education, work and good healthcare. The target groups are being helped to acquire skills and establish their own business thereby empowering them economically. We also help in increasing the number of girls that benefit from western education through our scholarship programmes in Nursery, Primary and Post Primary Schools VOYE believes in the eradication of poverty, which can come about if we sustain individual and collective efforts to empower the needy. We constantly seel new solutions and ask how we can make the greater impact with our resources for the benefit of those in need.
Target Areas: Our Operational areas for now are Oguta, Obor, Awo-Omamma in Imo State, and Port harcourt in Rivers State..
